The Managing Committee of Yogoda Satsanga Dhyana Kendra Shimla organized a Tree Plantation Programme at Jakhu Hills near Five Benches in Shimla Town on 2nd August, 2016 at 11.00 AM onward. Around 15 YSS devotees attended the programme. 40 students and four teachers from a local Monal Public School also participated in the programme.
The programme continued till 2.30 PM, during which saplings of following trees were planted:
100 Devodars
70 Khanors
30 Mohroos

30 Hydrangea and Hibiscus flowers
200 saplings of trees were planted by digging the prescribed size (1.5×1.5 feet) of trenches in the forest area. Hydrangea and Hibiscus flower plants were also planted along the road leading to Jakhu temple. Plants were provided by the Forest Deptt. The staff of the Forest Deptt. demonstrated the method of plantation to all the students and devotees.
All the devotees, students and others were served snacks and working lunch after the plantation was over.
The Managing Committee of YSD Kendra Shimla, thanked the staff of Forest Deptt., teachers and students of the local school and YSS devotees for extending their cooperation, support and assistance in making the tree plantation programme a great success.
