Pranam Swamiji and dear Shimla Gurubhais and bahens,
I am writing to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for hosting the Gita Gyan Yajna at Anand Shikhar. It was a heavenly experience. The location is so beautiful, that you can only think of God, God, God wherever you look. The seva done by all the devotees was amazing.
Such selfless devotion all through the day taking care of every need of every one!!!! Special thanks to Mr Sunil and Mr Laamba for their complete dedication – keeping us well fed and comfortable throughout our stay. And to Mr Chouhan and all those who have to shoulder the responsibility for the retreat and the beautiful Dhyana Mandir all through the year.
Swamiji, thank you for the organising the Yajna which was a wonderful experience – to be in Gita consciouness throughout the day from the Gita recitations, to preparing for the group discussions, to the actual discussions and presentation, your discourses etc. An exercise like this has ensured that each of us got more involved in Gita study, and has built the ground work to keep us ‘hooked’ to the Gita after we have returned home. I for one am making sure I continue to read the Gita daily. I found many of the other devotees too were similarly motivated and had resolved to dedicate more time to Gita study after the retreat. I hope there will be more such Yajnas, and that the Noida yajna is a huge success. If it is feasible, it would be nice if the Yajnas covered a few chapters at a time at periodic intervals. I look forward to seeing more developments in this area at other centres. It would be nice if these yajnas could be conducted at our centres, so that we can
catch them all.
I look forward to more visits to Anand Shikhar, as and when God and Gurus open the path for me.
Thank you all once again.
In Divine Friendship,
Meena Advani
